Trifluoperazine + Trihexyphenidyl HCL Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Trifluoperazine and Trihexyphenidyl. Trifluoperazine works by blocking certain chemicals in the brain that help manage the symptoms of mental health conditions such as mood swings, depression, and anxiety. Trihexyphenidyl balances the chemicals in the nervous system, thus reducing side effects like hand tremors and muscle spasms caused by trifluoperazine.
Trifluoperazine + Trihexyphenidyl HCL Tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as antipsychotics. This medicine is used to control and cure schizophrenia, a disease that affects the thinking ability, feelings, and behaviour of an individual negatively. This medicine may sometimes also be prescribed for treating bouts of anxiety and depression for a short period. Anxiety is an illness, which is characterised by excessive worry and nervousness that becomes, in its worst forms, debilitating in carrying out normal day-to-day life activities. At the same time, depression is a kind of mood disorder that makes people very sad and not interested in participating in activities they used to enjoy.
