Pregabalin Sustained-Release Tablets fall under a medication category called anticonvulsants, which are mainly used to prevent fibromyalgia (musculoskeletal pain), neuropathic pain, epilepsy (convulsions), and neuralgia (pain caused by a damaged/irritated nerve). Neuropathic pain is chronic nerve pain, usually caused by damaged nerves caused by various diseases, including diabetes, spinal cord and tissue injury, shingles (a viral infection that causes a painful rash), and muscle or joint injuries.

How Pregabalin Sustained-Release Tablets Work? 

Pregabalin Sustained-Release Tablets is an antiepileptic medication. It is used to treat epilepsy, it is thought to reduce abnormal electrical activity in the brain, preventing seizures. It is also used to treat nerve pain by preventing pain by interfering with pain signals that travel through damaged nerves and the brain. In the treatment of anxiety, it is thought to block the release of certain chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) that cause anxiety.
